Verint Systems Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Israeli Cyber-Surveillance Firm NSO Group for $1 Bln

Verint Systems (VRNT) is in talks to acquire the Israeli cyber-surveillance software maker NSO Group at a value of about $1 billion, the Times of Israel reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.

As earlier reported by the Wall Street Journal, the New York-based analytics company offered to pay Francisco Partners with stock and assumed debt as part of the deal. The private equity firm acquired NSO for reportedly $110 million to 130 million in 2014. If the potential deal is completed, Francisco Partners will become the largest shareholder in Verint.

A representative from NSO declined to comment while Verint was not immediately available for comment outside US working hours, the Times of Israel said.
